God Has a Plan For You
For I know the plans I have for you,” declares the Lord, “plans to prosper you and not to harm you, plans to give you hope and a future.” Jeremiah 29:11
Sometimes I don’t understand this verse, it doesn't make sense, but once in a while I need to hear it to know that God is with me and he has a plan for me even if I don’t understand it at the time.
God has a plan for you too, you matter. I am an active girl in 7th grade and I do four sports. When I was in 5th grade I started to have a hard time breathing when I was exercising. Then I went to the doctor and they said to start taking an inhaler for exercise induced asthma or bronchial spasms. This year I went back to the doctor and they had me do an asthma test. My breathing is supposed to look like a bowl with a triangle on top but it looks like a square. They told me that instead of exercise-induced asthma I probably had vocal cord dysfunction or even both. If you're not a doctor it basically means that my throat closes up when I am exercising so I can’t breathe. I freaked out. What is wrong with me? How do I fix this?
It turns out the best way they have figured out how to “fix” it is to have vocal therapy so you don’t freak out and can handle it. God has a plan for you, you matter. I know that I have needed to hear this phrase so much in my life, almost every day in fact, whether it is getting teased, having a hard time breathing, or even just life; but when you're in church and your pastor says it or a parent or even your friends tell you it still doesn’t make sense unless you experience it for yourself. I know that right now I am questioning why God has put this struggle in my life, but I am learning that even if I don’t understand it right now He has a plan for you and me even in this time. Even though we may not understand, God gave us the struggle to learn from and maybe even bring people to Him.
God has a way of showing us how to get through a struggle even if we don’t see how at the time or what He did. Words like this are powerful because when we need them sometimes they come into our life right when we need to hear them. God knows what you are going through even if it doesn’t seem like it. He has a plan and he has for a long time. Trust Him he cares for you.
But those who hope in the Lord will renew their strength. They will soar on wings like eagles; they will run and not grow weary, they will walk and not be faint. Isaiah 40:31
Trust in the Lord with all your heart and lean not on your own understanding. Proverbs 3:5
Trust Him, He loves you. Believe Him, and have faith. He does everything in its due time.
